This notice explains how Porticus Marketplace Inc., operating as LEND-IT.CA ("we", "us"), handles personal information collected through this website, and what has happened to information held from the LEND-IT.CA marketplace, which has now closed.
Information you send through this website
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the details you enter: your name, optional role, business or organization, province or territory, email address, optional phone number, and your answers about your business, program or equipment. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a demo or discussion, and follow up about it. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Enquiries are received and stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc., which emails them to us. Netlify also records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site running, secure and free of spam.
Former marketplace users
The public LEND-IT.CA marketplace has closed and no rentals are being processed. Account and transaction records from the marketplace are retained securely, with access restricted, so that we can meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations and respond to questions from former users. They are not used for marketing while the marketplace is closed.
If you had an account, you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@lend-it.ca from the address on your account.
Where information is stored
We use service providers to host our website and records, receive enquiries, process email and, for the former marketplace, process payments. Some of these providers, including our website host Netlify, store or process information in the United States or elsewhere outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Retention
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and no longer than two years after our last contact unless we enter into an agreement with your business or organization. Marketplace records are kept for as long as required by law, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your choices and contact
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent to our use of it, at any time by emailing info@lend-it.ca. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
